Coleraine and the Ports Empty Coleraine and the Ports

Hi Folks,

I'm able to offer lifts from the Coleraine area if people can help to share the cost of petrol. I'm currently only an occasional visitor but please feel free to get in touch if your from up here and are thinking of going down there Big Grin ...

It costs me about £15 in petrol to get there and back so if we could get 3 or 4 people to go down and split costs with, it wouldn't be too expensive.

I will be attending the "Return to Arkham 13" 40k Apocalypse - 10am-5pm Saturday 18th September 2010" game.

Please either leave a message here or PM me if your interested.

Cheers Tony

Coleraine and the Ports Empty coleraine new guy

Post  joe m Tue Jan 25 2011, 03:50

i have just registered for arkham gaming forum. i have not had a game of 40k or fantasy battle for some time now and have very recently just got back into the hobby again, i was wondering if you run any games local in the triangle area in practice for upcoming tournaments, i would greatly appreciate a crash course in the way the game is played now! i have a rough idea of the latest edition rules, but i think it translates better seeing a battle take place to help it sink in. any help would be really appreciated. Big Grin

Hi Joe,

I don't often play 40k myself, so I'm not up to scratch with the rules. I have an Imperial Guard Army and I'd be willing to play a game against you but I fear you might be teaching me how to play rather than vice versa.

Are you interested in playing other types of war or roleplaying games? I have lots of miniatures for various other kinds of skirmish games.

The folks at Beast of War are also based in Coleraine, I know some of them are tournament gamers. I've been told that they are trying to get a games night together for the last wednesday of the each month (I think it's starting in Feb).

I also try to get down to Arkaham at least once a month, I'd be more than happy to give you a lift or take turns if you have a car, we could chuck a few quid into a fuel kitty and save some £.

Please let me know your interested in any of the above.

Cheers Tony

Coleraine and the Ports Empty games or rpg

Post  joe m Wed Jan 26 2011, 11:04

hello tony, ive just started to play again myself, and these new rules are completely different to what i played originally 10 years ago. but im reading and trying to remember, but a lot of niggly bits to re call Self donk! i think we ll have to get a set of learner plates up when battle commences. as to other gaming, i would turn my hand to most other war or rpg games. ive really only played games workshop stuff and a dabble in d+d, what games do you play? as for the beast of war guys, if they run a games night i would be certainly interested in attending. oh yeah one last thing, i have a car also, so taking turns at driving up is not a problem at all! thanks joe.
