Hey Guys,

I'm a gamer thats been looking for a group for a long time now. I used to play in a very small group of friends a good few years ago but work/uni and generally moving on from our home town meant it was impossible for us to keep it going.

I have been collecting everything GW fr as long as i can remember. When my group of friends broke up i sold most of my stuff but i still have some blood bowl, necromunda and a new dark eldar army on the go and have been looking for people to play these with.

Also i use to do a bit of table top role play on a few systems. Feng shui which is the most hilarious beer and chips game to play, and the Eldric of Melibone version of Runequest i think it was called...

A work colleague recommended i checked you guys out today and from what ive seen im really excited that i may have found such a group. I should hopefully be popping up with a friend on the first Saturday of April to see the place and get a feel for the group.

Wow, now that is a warm welcome!!!

Turns out my friend is a bit useless and wont be coming with me but i shall probably drag a few of my family along instead. I am slowing getting them into Wargamming so you guys might help me tip the scales

In response i would love to try a few other systems. I adore the GW stuff but varitiy is the spice of life! Anything with Zombies, Vampires and the such is always a good laugh.

Also i used to play Magic a long time ago. Completely forget the rules and sold my decks but.... Could be convinced

Do you guys mind if my full army isnt fully painted before i would play a game? What are the rules on this as i have fully painted two units and am now working on my Harliquins but i am perhaps the slowest painter in this and every other universe.

As everyone has said Wednesday nights are good to see the club in full flow. As to painting your minis - one player uses shuttlecocks for his 'Nid list! Unpainted armies are no problem - the only stipulation is that you enjoy yourself!
If you intend coming down regularly please do check out our membership scheme - all i can say is it is really good.

Don't worry about having to paint your army dude, there are no mad house rules like that! There are plenty of damn good painters in arkham but it's not a pre-requisite to play, as Ivor said just have some fun.

And getting down about 6 or 7 is grand, we don't open until 6 on a Wednesday and at around 7 most people start filtering in! If your looking to get a game of 40k next week give rik, Gary, justy or mike a shout they are the 40k faithful and always up for a game

Hey welcome to the centre, like Neil said there's quite a few of us who'd be happy to have a 40k game with you, also nice to see a fellow Dark Eldar player in the ranks and you're definitely not the slowest painter around, I currently have a whole 2 Dark Eldar painted! Anyway hopefully cya down at the club sometime.

There has been a real resurgence in 40k at the club with the 40k campaign coming up, get your name down in the thread in the Comp sub-forum, get some games in and take some slaves!

As Neil says Wed nite seems to be the busiest nite for wargaming, if you are down this Wed look out for a nid army using shuttlecocks and ill introduce myself in person
