Borag Thung Earthlets!
Hi all,
My name is Ewan, and I was introduced to the club by Brett (Groaty) and Scott (Vapusa). I haven't been down yet as work has got in the way but hopefully be down next week. I'll be there in spirit though as my models are being used in the Groaty's Battletech "Gridner".
Here is a useful list to what I play and also what Im familiar with but haven't played in ages;
Currently play
Flames Of War - Continuation War Finns, Late-War Finns, Eastern Front Germans (PZG for '42-'43 & Mittlere for '42), 8th Army British for '42-'43. Ask Groaty about my Finns, 8/0 win record vs his Sovietski
Battletech - I have a medium strength Free Worlds League Regiment available as well as reinforced companies for all the major Houses, Comguards, Wolf's Dragoons, Periphery Forces etc etc
BSG Boardgame - Recently introduced to by two other newcomers
EVE Online - Least said, soonest mended
Familiar with or used to play (In most cases no longer have armies for)
Warhammer Fantasy Battles - I used to do Skaven, Slaaneshi Chaos (no humans), Orcs & Goblins, Dark Elves and High Elves
Warhammer 40,000 - Imperial Guard, Salamanders, Orks, Eldar Swordwind, Tau
Starfleet Battles/Starfleet Command - Give me but a New Light Cruiser and I shall give the Klings hell!
Battlefleet Gothic - Imperial Carrier Group. Torps and fighters are all you need to break this game :D
Random Card Games - Magic, Battletech CCG & Yu Gi Oh
Loads more too but I forget. I forget so much these days..... my mind is going Dave....... I can feel it.....
PS I have a big project Im working on at the moment, but its hush-hush until I have something concrete to show you

Hi Duce.
Yeah I played it a number of years ago.
Its vaguely like Magic, though is has Factories instead of Mana cards. The main difference is that factories are locations, and can be directly attacked and defended and are really the primary objective rather than the life points of your opponent. The other difference is that not only are their various Factions (Houses, Mercenaries etc) which compare to the different Colours of Magic, but there is also Clan faction and Inner Sphere faction. Clan factions are simply better and it is REALLY hard for the Inner Sphere to beat Clan.

This sounds really interesting (Curse you for informing me of this game!) where do you get the cards etc from and is it still going?

At last, Star Fleet Battles :)
Welcome!
Anytime you feel like a game of SFB or Federation Commander, definitely let me know; I'm thinking of kicking off a campaign soon (Andro v Hydran and WYN) - would be great if you could play. Look forward to meeting you.

That'll work out fine - there's a Federation battlecruiser (The New Jersey) in the campaign; she's yours to command :).
