[RoadTrip] Games Day 2010 (Sun 26th Sept 2010)
Just wanting to gauge interest into whether people would be interested into an Arkham roadtrip to Games Workshop's Games Day on the 26th September?
The two options for getting to Games Day would be either flying into Birmingham or to hire a small coach and take the ferry, I haven't looked at the prices yet as I'm just wanting to see of there's is enough interest in attending before going any further.
So if you're interested in going, then make yourself known.

So, like Salute but closer (Birmingham) but pretty much a GW only affair with lots of screaming children and weirdoes dressed in strange and outlandish costumes? Sounds pretty good to me, lets hope some went for the chaos demonette look – well unless they are not female or weigh as much as I do, then blinding yourself might be the best option.
If I remember the coach journey is pretty long and dispiriting. I have made worse journeys though and this time it should be a more entertaining crowd.

went to gamesday back in 1998, coach takes HOURS, seriously it left belfast at 10pmish sat night drove from scotland down to brummietown and stopped a macdonalds for brekkie at 8am. then on the way back the superdooper fast ferry broke so we had a lovely long float on the old boakbucket. I didnt get any sleep for nearly 30 hours. If you are planning a trip over... fly

Would prefer to fly myself. Andy B and I were in Nottingham in March, flying to East Midlands then hiring a car. Quick and painless, and in all honesty could end up as cheap as ferry & coach. I'll check out flight prices and maybe operate a system where anyone signing up by a certain date pays a deposit to cover flight at least then I'll arrange a hire minibus and group rate at a hotel for an overnight.
Will look into this early next week.

Is this still a possibility? Always fancied going to games day so a group outing would be sweet.
