Hi Folks,
I missed the last assault, - I don't want to miss this one!
Please can you tell me what are the requirements for army lists (points value etc)?
Cheers Tony

Hi Tony, Ivor to confirm this, but i'd expect the rules to be not dis-similar from the last Apoc game;
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
The points limit will be up to2,000 3000 points per player.
This is to make sure the game runs as smoothly as possible. The army does not have to be2,000 3000 points but can be no larger. All apocalyse sized hardware is more than welcome!! There will definitely be a few Baneblades on the table (and maybe bigger going by what some guys have already said they want to bring!!
There will the 1,000 point limit Mission games available.
As an added option we would encourage you to create a 1,000 point force for mission games (which take place on some of our beautiful custom made tables). The results of these missions will affect the big game in real time. So the faster you play these missions, the quicker you get back to the Big Game and affect what is happening.
Rosters will be useful
While it is a game for all levels of experience and sizes of collections, prefilled roster sheets will be very, very helpful to all. For those who are unsure, staff will be on hand on the day to help army build for those who would like help and advice.
All forces are innumerable
If you get wiped you can bring your forces back on as reinforcements in your next turn, or take the opportunity to play in one of the 1,000 point missions)
No missions will be played until Turn One has been completed.
Each turn will have a time limit.
Big Game turns will be timed to last 30 minutes in total. This will be strictly adhered to. The opposing team will keep the time (and harrass and shout about how little time is left!!)

Thanks Phil,
I will start working on my list... I've had the army for a few years but only played 40k once and never had a proper list.
Cheers Tony

I will be travelling down from the Coleraine area on the 18th. Please PM me if you want a lift (for a very reasonable donation to the petrol fund).
Cheers Tony

I think I'll be nearer 2000pts than 3000. Out of interest how many points is a Baneblade?

quick battle report - another win for the nasties :(
a dismal first round saw my land raider, vindicator and predator wrecked, although my sisters of battle did a fair job they too fell to the sneaky eldar ( its those exarchs and phoenixlords!) not much left of my stuff at the end

I like being sneaky.
It was very refreshing being able to field so much of my Eldar. We did get some good luck in the first round which majorly slow down any sort of attack on our postions.
Lesson of the day: Don't lascannon a Falcon from 6 inches away when there's 5 fire dragons ready to pop out.
2nd lesson of the day: Don't assault a Wave Serpent when there's a full squad of Howling Banshees ready to drop out backed by Jain Zar.

next time keep your eldar on the side of order. if i had known you had fire dragons in that wave serpent i wouldnt have lazcannoned it. and your first round of shooting was disartous for me prevented me from geting my vindicators etc etc across the bridge and into action. though my stormlord did give its worth for three turns before being reduced to a burning lump of scrap.
note to self pick better side of table for set up next time.
