Neil, there is a PDF for fielding 82nd 'All American' Airbourne squads on this page.

The soviet scout squad looks fun, 5 snipers with no breakpoint. Twisted Evil

And I've just found out a Vehicle supplement is on its way.

I meant me, but if you want to by all means go ahead. Big Grin
The only 'official' list that comes close is the Volksgrenadier squad, though with more rifles instead of MP40's and maybe lower the breakpoint, or make groups of Volksturm count towards the BP. (I imagine MP40's needing plenty of ammo so hard to keep operational.) and plenty of Volksturm, think it gives a good reflection of the various abilities and determination of the partisans, a hardened core with a gaggle of followers.

But my ideas of a partisan group may be miles different from yours, I'll work something out, you work something out and between the 2 of us we should have something workable. Or you could just take a std rifle formation.

Maybe start with a standard rifle squad and get to know the rules. Then build up from there. In SotTR the basic partisan unit is a rifle squad. So i have a 10 man Rifle squad, 10 man SMG squad and 3man HMG squad. I also have 3 figures packing LMG but I am not familiar with WWII unit organisation to know how they would fit. Now if they were Roman Scorpion crew then they would fit nicely alongside my Century.

For those still undecided about trying this ruleset how about if you could include a hairy arsed piper?
Warlord have just unveiled the 1st 3 metal bliters that go with the yet to be released plastic commando.

Lord Lovat was one of those characters you couldn’t make up. Tall, handsome and brave, he was born to the task of command, being in fact a Highland Laird. It was Lord Lovat who famously fought his way in land on D-Day to cross the bridges held by the British Paras, carrying a rifle, accompanied by his faithful bagpiper Millin!

Millin was banned from playing when under fire by the English War office but Lovat claimed that it clearly could not apply in this case as they were Scottish! Millin survived cold water and enemy bullets, causing consternation and surprise wherever he went, some think he was not shot at by the Germans as they thought he was clearly insane!

It would seem that Millin came ashore in Kilt but discarded it inland, so they have included both leg variants for troosers and full Kilt. Thankfully as painting tartan is a nightmare.

Finally is the extraordinary maverick Brigadier Peter Young. Amongst Britains’ most interesting and most decorated soldiers, ”The Brig” was legendary in the Commandos. His troop was the only one to fully succeed at the disaster of Dieppe. Charismatic and intelligent, he was quite the pirate, but his men would go to extreme lengths to never let him down. They have him portrayed here with his trusty (borrowed) Garand and cane. After the war he went on to be a top historian and write a best selling book about war gaming!

And then there is the Vickers MG and 3" Mortar, the mainstay support weapons of the British army.

Now I'm just hopeing that the plastics will have has much character as the metal figures do.

They are lovely figs. Maybe them and a box of plastics to fight alongside my partisans who just happen to look like French resistance. Local knowledge leading british firepower. Has to be good.
Have to say I like the figure in kilt. More emoptive and redolent of scots than the troosers! But I can barely paint flat colours so tartan is way beyond my skills.
